About the CONNECT-EZ Team
Recognizing the uncertainties and inefficiencies of many “industry standard” connection methods in the steel and concrete construction industries, CONNECT-EZ® co-founders, Bob Foley, PE and Terry Tincher, have combined their 70 years of experience in structural engineering, steel fabrication/erection and business ownership, to introduce innovative, engineered connection devices. Our goal is move critical welding from the Field to the Controlled Environment of the Fabrication Shop!
Bob Foley draws on a 34 year career as a structural engineer and senior partner of LJB, Inc; Engineers and Architects, Dayton, Ohio. As president of the firm’s subsidiary company, CON/STEEL Tilt-Up Systems, he led the development of an international licensed network of design/build contractors introducing tilt-up concrete technology in new markets. His professional experience as a structural engineer and close working relationship with general contractors and concrete subcontractors give him a unique insight to industry challenges and opportunities for innovation.
“Because the CONNECT-EZ® systems eliminate field welding, connections of the concrete panels to foundations and connections of structural steel framing to panels is safer, faster and ensures a better quality connection. Contractors and engineers have discovered that substituting mechanical connections for difficult to inspect field welds has resulted in reduced structural inspection fees and expensive rework charges.” – Bob Foley
